Jeff McClarren Tax Prep, LLC provides personal income tax preparation and tax planning for individuals and couples, with an emphasis on those approaching retirement or already retired.
I recently retired from financial planning and am now focusing on tax preparation and tax planning.. While enjoying the freedom and opportunities of retirement, I find I miss tax work. I know that sounds crazy, but people like me do exist. So I am offering to work with a small number of people who would rather work directly with an experienced tax professional than simply turn their taxes over to software or a tax preparer they don't know.

As an IRS Enrolled Agent, I am enrolled to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service.

Tax preparation looks at what happened. Tax planning looks ahead.. Many people, especially retirees, can benefit from actually planning for taxes instead of just reporting them.

Tax planning helps you understand how decisions about retirement income, distributions, Roth conversions, capital gains, and other financial events may affect your taxes. Tax planning is a separate engagement from tax preparation.
A Small Practice. Personal Attention
I intentionally keep my practice small. I limit the number of clients I serve so I can get to know each client's situation and provide the individual attention that good tax work requires.
The practice is based in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania and Southport, North Carolina, with most appointments conducted virtually. Secure electronic document exchange makes it possible to work with clients in either area, as well as clients who are elsewhere.
